Closing applications on the Android platform can be done both using the built-in window manager and through the running tasks bar. You can also use third-party applications to clean up programs that are currently running in the background.
Open window manager
The open window manager opens by long pressing the extreme right key, which is shown as two superimposed rectangles. However, the location of the touch key on your device may differ for some models, and sometimes you use the center up arrow key or the icon to switch to the home screen to switch between applications. On some Samsung phones, the key located under the screen can also be used to call the manager of running applications.
After clicking on the desired button, a list of running windows will open in front of you. You can close a running application by swiping from right to left across the screen. If you are using a tablet, close the program by swiping up or down. You can also hold your finger on any open window to bring up the context menu. To close the program, select the Remove From List option.
Also, some versions of the Android operating system support the simultaneous removal of all running applications. To do this, click on the clear memory icon located in the upper right corner of the device or at the bottom of the screen. If this icon is not there, you may need to manually close applications.
Process manager
If the program is not displayed in the list of open windows, but uses the device's RAM, you can use the task manager built into the system to turn it off. To do this, go to the "Settings" - "Manage applications" or "Applications" menu of the device. After that, go to the "Launched" tab. You will see a list of tasks that are currently being performed on the phone. To end an unnecessary program, click on it, and then select Stop or Force Stop. Confirm the action and click OK. After that, the process will be removed from the running list.
There are also special applications for managing running programs in the Play Store. For example, you can download Android Task Manager, Go Cleaner, Advanced Task Killer, Task Manager, etc. All these programs are available in the Play Store for download. You can view the list of available managers by typing "Task Manager" or "Task Manager" in the application search bar. Having chosen the most convenient program for you and having studied its reviews and ratings, click the "Install" button and wait until the installation of the program is completed. Then launch it using the created desktop icon. Using the program interface, uninstall the programs you want to terminate.
