Sooner or later, the standard icons on the iPhone's desktop start to get boring. There are many different icons for the smartphone posted on the Internet. They can be replaced using the appropriate utilities that allow you to manage the device's file system.
Necessary
- - iPhone Explorer, iPhone Folder or iPhone Browser;
- - Summer or Winter Board.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the iPhone Explorer program from the official website and install it on your computer using iTunes. The utility allows you to see the file system of the phone and perform certain actions with it.
Step 2
Download the necessary set of icons for applications from the Internet. It is best to download such files from the forums dedicated to the device. In the same place, each set is often accompanied by complete installation instructions, tk. some files have a non-standard extension or have their own peculiarities. The iPhone icon file usually has a.png
Step 3
Connect your phone to your computer. Go to the folder where the installed application is located for which you want to replace the icon ("/Apps/application_name.app/application_name.app.app").
Step 4
Find a file with a name similar to “[email protected]” (for iPhone 3GS, the file will be named Icon.png). Replace it with the downloaded icon. For iPhone 4, the icon should be 114x114 pixels, while app images in 3GS and earlier models are 57x57.
Step 5
Reboot your phone. The icons are set.
Step 6
There are also many programs in the AppStore that allow you to change the theme of your smartphone and change the icons. The most common are the simple Summer Board and WinterBoard applications that allow you to download the desired themes through the official mirrors using your own settings and install them directly from your phone. The item "Theme Icons" of the program window is responsible for changing the icons. After setting the corresponding switch to the “ON” position, the icons will automatically be replaced with images from the selected theme.
