Instructions
Step 1
Download the Far Manager program to your computer. This program is needed in order to provide access to the system files of the phone. Set up persistent access to the file system. To do this, connect the phone to the computer using a service cable
Step 2
Find the menu.ml file located at tpa / preset / system / menu /. Make a backup copy of this file to be on the safe side. Copy the menu.ml file to your computer and edit it. An ordinary text editor Notepad is suitable for changing.
Step 3
To change the menu icons, find the following lines in the file: desktop_wap_icn desktop_wap_selected_icn Note that you will have to change the icons taking into account the state of the menu, its activity or passivity. Therefore, the pos = "unselected" element denotes the menu icon in the passive state, that is, when the cursor is not hovering over it. Accordingly, pos = "selected" source”means the icon in active mode, with the cursor over it.
Step 4
Select the file to be replaced. To do this, we prepare in advance our own versions of icons for files with the resolution png, jpg, gif. For an inactive menu item, the size must be 55x36 or 55x34 (width x height ratio). The active icon is respectively 64x44 or 48x42.
Step 5
When editing icons, keep in mind that there should be 12 active and 12 passive files in total, that is, a total of 24 elements. The file names do not matter, but the resolution must be preserved. It is also recommended to use only lowercase filenames.
Step 6
Upload the prepared icons to the phone folder tpa / preset / system / menu /. Now edit the menu.ml file, replacing source = "internal" with source = "file". Paste the edited menu.ml file back to your phone and reload it.
