Computer and mobile equipment is counterfeited, and the more famous the manufacturer and model, the more often this happens. There are ways to authenticate.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out the unique IMEI of your phone by dialing * # 06 #. The same number should be indicated on the package in which the phone was located and on a sticker under the battery. Now go to the manufacturer's website (www.nokia.com), find the coordinates of the Nokia Care technical support there and call them, asking them to check the authenticity of the phone by IMEI. You can also use one of the IMEI check services. If the IMEI is not found in the manufacturer's database, or does not match the numbers on the sticker, then you are the owner of a fake.
Step 2
According to the rules, stickers of RosTest and compliance with communication standards should be located under the battery. In the event that these stickers are not available, the phone is either a fake or smuggled into Russia.
Step 3
Examine the apparatus carefully. It should not contain any inscriptions in languages other than Russian and English. In addition, the dimensions of the case must match (compare with the official ones on the website).
Step 4
Consider a battery pack. It should have a proprietary hologram, which displays the Nokia logo (in the form of two hands), as well as the Original Enhancements inscription.
Step 5
Examine the screen carefully with the telephone turned on. The graininess of the picture is an indicator that the phone is a fake. The phone menu must fully correspond to the description of the model on the official website. All labels on the menu are in Russian or English only.
Step 6
Remember that the name of the model must exactly match the official one. It should not contain unnecessary letters or numbers. Read about all models released by the manufacturer on the official website.
Step 7
The phone shouldn't have undocumented features. Sometimes the functions of fakes are markedly different. Manufacturers of such phones often attract the buyer for this very reason.
