In order for the computer to start working, there is a microcircuit on the motherboard, which stores data for initialization and connecting additional devices. This microcircuit is called the basic input and output system, which in English is referred to as BIOS (basic input / output system). This system is often password protected. But what if you forgot it? At the moment, only two methods are known.
Method number 1
Open the lid of the computer and carefully examine all of its insides. Find your motherboard. You need to carefully examine it and find a round battery. Lift it out and set it aside for a few hours (5-6 is usually enough).
Due to the loss of constant power supply, the data in the BIOS will return to its original values. The access password will also be reset. The next time you turn on your computer, just enter the new settings.
Method number 2
Some modern computers make it much easier for the user. They have special connectors next to the battery that allow cleaning the BIOS memory without resorting to such harsh measures. You can see the exact location of these connectors in the instructions.
If you have lost the instructions, then go to the manufacturer's website. All the necessary information should be located there. With the computer off, close these connectors. The data will be reset and you can enter new parameters.
