Various small cracks and scratches appear on touchscreens over time. This happens regardless of how carefully you handle your gadget. However, there are several ways you can help restore a touchscreen to its shine and fresh look.
Removing scratches with baking soda and baby powder
In a small container, combine two parts baking soda and one part water. Stir the composition until a homogeneous thick slurry is obtained. Take a soft, clean cloth and apply a small amount of the composition to it. Wipe the screen gently in a circular motion, then wipe off any remaining baking soda with a slightly damp, clean cloth.
You can similarly remove scratches on the touchscreen by using baby powder instead of baking soda.
Removing scratches with toothpaste
For this method, you will need the most common toothpaste. Do not use gel-based brands.
Apply a small amount of toothpaste to a soft cloth or cotton swab. Gently wipe the touchscreen where there are scratches in a circular motion, then wipe off excess paste with a clean, damp cloth.
Removing scratches with vegetable oil
This method can be used as a temporary solution. A small amount of vegetable oil, carefully rubbed into the surface of the touch screen, which has lost its luster, will help to temporarily restore its former appearance.
Removal of scratches with special automotive products
Car scratch removers (polishing pastes, creams, gels, etc.) also work effectively on touch screens. Just apply a special cream on a piece of soft cloth and wipe your gadget with it.
Removing scratches with a sander and sandpaper
This is the most risky way, which is undesirable to use without preliminary training on similar surfaces. The secret to this method is to use the finest sandpaper you can find.
However, if you do not have certain skills, then it is better not to risk it, otherwise you will then have to use another, no less effective method - replacing the touch screen in the workshop.
