When buying an iPhoe, most users are faced with the question: how to move all contacts from the old phone to the new iPhone? This can be done using the iTunes program or without using the program.
Necessary
- - USB cable;
- - iTunes program;
- - access to the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Initially, you need to transfer contacts from your old phone to your computer and save them according to the Microsoft Outlook extension.
Step 2
If there are contacts in the former address book that have several numbers with a mobile status, then during synchronization only the first numbers will be overwritten to the new phone, and all the rest will be lost. Therefore, all phone numbers of one contact must be assigned different statuses, for example, work, home, etc.
Step 3
Download the iTunes program. After installing it on your computer, check for contacts in Microsoft Outlook. To make sure of this, you need to click the "Contacts" command at the bottom of the program.
Step 4
Next, you need to connect the iPhone to the computer itself and launch iTunes. After selecting the line "iPhone" in the dialog box, you need to go to the "Information" tab. Having checked the "Synchronize contacts with" checkbox, select the "Outlook" line and click "Apply". If everything is done correctly, the contacts will be overwritten on the iPhone.
Step 5
For users who do not trust various kinds of programs or have a large phone book, there is another alternative way to port numbers. It is even simpler than the previous one, and the risk of losing existing contacts with it is zero.
Step 6
This method consists in exporting the existing numbers saved in vCard format. After transferring contacts to your computer in Outlook, you need to save them in a special vCard format in any folder, for example c: / temp.
Step 7
As a result, you get a folder with many *.vcf files, where 1 such file displays 1 contact. Then you need to combine them into one file. For this, the operation is performed: Start - Run - cmd. In the line you must enter cd c: / temp and copy / a *.vcf c: / allcards.vcf.
Step 8
A file named allcards.vcf should appear at the root of the C-drive. Next, a letter is created with this attached file, which is sent to the iPhone mailbox.
Step 9
Then, already on the phone itself, having opened this vcf file through the received letter, you must click "Add all contacts", after which the address book will be updated.
