It's no secret that thin TVs are in special demand, which literally flooded the entire market. And first of all, this is due to the huge number of their advantages.
Why are thin TVs good?
Tube TVs have long ceased to be produced, and even more so have gone out of fashion, but what is this connected with? First, of course, this is due to the fact that such TVs had a fairly large mass. On average, they weighed up to 60 kilograms. In this regard, there were some problems with the transportation of such devices. After that, devices began to appear not on lamps, but on semiconductors, which weighed approximately two times less, respectively, they were lighter than their predecessors. Nevertheless, the problem with the transportation and placement of such a device at home remained. Today, you can buy a fairly light and thin TV. Of course, you can bring such a TV home on your own, in addition, it will take up much less space than a CRT or tube TV.
Main advantages and differences
The next difference is in image quality. Yes, of course, a CRT or tube TV can be configured in such a way that it transmits a high-quality picture, but modern technologies allow you to watch films in digital quality or in 3D. This cannot be done by a previous generation TV. In addition, it is worth noting the diagonal of modern TVs. Moreover, unlike old TVs (even with a large screen), which could not be installed on the wall, with modern TVs you can carry out a similar manipulation and save quite a lot of space for other needs.
Do not forget about such important nuances as poor signal transmission and overheating. Modern TVs do not have such disadvantages. It can be watched for several days, and it will not heat up, therefore, its service life will be much longer than that of older models. Naturally, modern devices allow the user to connect computers, USB drives or use the Internet. Older models cannot boast of the same achievements.
The lack of demand for old models is directly due to all these factors and, naturally, it became much more profitable for manufacturers to create new TVs. In this regard, lamp and CRT models were no longer produced back in 2007.
