Many lovers of good quality images have long given up watching movies on a standard computer monitor. This was facilitated by the release of new image formats, such as Blu-ray, and the emergence of modern LCD and plasma TVs. In this regard, a very interesting solution can be to use a TV instead of a monitor.
It is necessary
video signal cable
Instructions
Step 1
To connect the system unit to the TV, determine the connector formats available on both devices. These can be outputs for an analog signal S-Video or VGA (D-Sub), as well as digital channels DVI or HDMI. In order to provide the best picture quality, it is better to use digital channels.
Step 2
Purchase a cable with the required connectors. Connect the system unit to the TV. In the settings of the latter, find the item "Video channel" and specify the connector to which you connected the cable.
Step 3
Remember that you do not need to turn off the monitor to connect to the TV. Moreover, both of these devices can work at the same time. In the settings of the video adapter or in the standard parameters of the operating system, find the item "Monitors". If you want the images on the monitor and TV to be the same, then select "Duplicate". Otherwise, check the box next to the line "Expand". When choosing the second option, you can move the video player to the TV screen without occupying the monitor area.
