If you do not want to invent and invent something, you can purchase ready-made construction sets, for example, from Lego or ActivMedia Robotics, but they are not cheap. And if you still want to create something yourself, you can try making it at home.
It is necessary
Ability to handle a soldering iron, chassis, case, motors, battery, "brains"
Instructions
Step 1
As a chassis, you can use wheels from radio-controlled toys, and not only wheels. It can also be walking robots.
Step 2
You can also make the case yourself, or find something similar. For example, a regular children's racing car or some other toy may also work.
Step 3
How do you see the equipment for your robot? In order for it to move, a motor will be needed to watch - a video camera, as well as a battery, a charger, various sensors, antennas, and so on.
Step 4
And finally, the "brains". They can be microprocessor-based controllers, Spectrum home computers that were popular many years ago, Atmel processors. It is quite problematic to get all this, but it is possible.
Step 5
Now all this needs to be put together. This is where electrical engineering skills are needed. We'll have to solder the wiring, and so as not to confuse the polarity. To cope with all this, you first need to, of course, pass the "course of a young soldier" in some radio engineering circle. Because it will be very difficult for a person far from this area to deal with all this.
