Step 1
In order to determine the battery charge level, pay attention to the indicators specially invented for this purpose. Some devices have special LEDs that show the user a particular state of the battery in a certain color. The most commonly used colors are green, yellow and red. Green indicates that the battery level is at its maximum or close to that, yellow is the average battery level of the device, and red is below average, or even in some cases the device is trying to report the next shutdown. Often, such a system is also used by various mains chargers.

If your device using batteries has a dedicated indicator with stripes, check the number of strips. It means the number of charged battery compartments. As you use the device, their number decreases. Such a system is relevant for mobile phones, portable players, navigators, tablets, and so on. If they are full during charging, the device can be disconnected from the power supply.

In order to determine the battery level of the laptop, view the status of the corresponding icon in the tray in the notification area of the Windows system tray (located in the upper right corner of the screen). To see the remaining battery life of your laptop, simply hover over this icon.

You can also get additional information by double-clicking on it with the left mouse button. Also, the level of the battery when it is charged is shown by the alternating icon of operation from the mains, move the cursor over it to find out the remaining time to full charge and the filled capacity of the battery.
