A battery is a device designed to store energy in a chemical form that can be used like electricity. Its work is provided by the interaction of two metals in an acidic solution. When buying a battery, it is important to know the date of its production, as its service life will depend on it.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the manufacturer to find out the date the battery was manufactured. Centra Futura (Poland) usually applies the marking on a sticker with the inscription DANGER, and the production date is printed in the format X 05, where X is October, and 05 is 2005. If you have a Delphi Freedom battery, the marking location is on the top of the case, in the far corner of the indicator. The record of the date of manufacture of the battery is applied in the 16 ° CF format, which is deciphered as follows: 16 - day of the month, 7 - 2007, C - month, F - country of origin (France). January –A, February –B, March –C, April –D, and so on according to the list of the Latin alphabet.
Step 2
Find the Inci Aku Exmet battery label, which is usually located near the positive terminal. Example of entry: 17 12 06 17 - 17 December 2006. The place for marking Ista Standart batteries is the top cover, above its label. Example entry: 2544, where 2 is the production number, 5 is the year 2005, and 44 is the week of the year (November). The manufacturer Medalist puts a mark on the side of the battery case, example of the entry: 12.2007, where 12 is December, 2007 is the year.
Step 3
Determine the production time of the Power Bull Banner battery by the marking, which is applied, as a rule, on the back wall of the battery, and has the format - 29Т6204, where 29 is the week of the year, 04 is the year. If you have a Prestolite Formula S30 battery, then the marking in it is also on the back of the battery, it is done in the 12Т6204 6 format, it is decoded similarly to the previous version. Selenius batteries are marked on the longitudinal side of the cover and the entry is made in the form of OTK040105, where 01.05 is the month and year of the battery. Tyumen batteries are marked in the same place, and the date of manufacture is in the format 12 04 09 5, 12 - month, 04 - year, 09 - day. The manufacturer Ultra Hugel puts a marking near the positive terminal, in the format 17 09 05, which means the date of manufacture of the battery is September 17, 2005.
