A radiotelephone consists of a base station connected to a telephone network and one or more cordless handsets that receive a signal via radio waves. Everyone can install and connect a radiotelephone independently, without the help of specialists, it is enough to know the basic rules.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine where the radiotelephone base will be installed. As a rule, the place is chosen empirically. However, there are a number of factors to consider. Do not place the device near a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven or other equipment, which is made in a metal case, is a source of electromagnetic fields or heat. Also, the telephone base should not be in direct sunlight or in a damp room.
Step 2
Read the instructions for your cordless phone to find out how long it takes to charge the battery. After that, connect the device to the mains and charge the battery. Press the Page key while the handset is on the base to automatically set the security code. Repeat this procedure whenever the battery is discharged or the connection with the handset is lost, as in these cases the code is cleared.
Step 3
Press the intercom button on the base, which is usually located above the Speakerphone button. Keep it pressed until the device starts beeping.
Step 4
Go to the handset menu in the "Settings" section while holding the intercom button. Select “Register Handset” and click on the corresponding base number, which is usually the first. Wait a while for the connection between the base and the handset to be established. If the device asks for a code, you must enter 0000 or the code that is indicated in the instructions for the radiotelephone.
Step 5
Connect the telephone base to the network using a modular connector and a special adapter. Check your connection and try calling someone. If the conversation continues, then the installation of the telephone base and the connection of the radiotelephone were successful.
