In our turbulent times, the use of various video surveillance systems has become an integral part of life. Surveillance cameras are used everywhere: at work, in shops, cars and ATMs. It will not be difficult to install such a camera, and send the information to a computer, from which it will be convenient to view the recording later.
Instructions
Step 1
Install the outdoor surveillance camera according to the instructions. Connect it using the supplied cable. However, there are video cameras that are connected via a network cable and a switch. Therefore, before purchasing a surveillance camera, ask your consultant how and what to connect the selected device.
Step 2
Hide and insulate well the wires leading from the camera to the computer to avoid accidental breakage or damage from natural factors (wind, rain, cold).
Step 3
Connect the camera to your computer. To do this, plug the cable into the dedicated LAN connector. The operating system will automatically detect the new device and require a driver to install it. Use the supplied software disc.
Step 4
Insert the disc into your computer and install all components. After the installation is complete, a shortcut from the video camera will appear on the desktop - double-click on it and run the program. In the service section, make the necessary settings.
Step 5
Specify the folder where all recordings from the surveillance camera will be saved. The disk that contains this folder should have as much free space as possible. It is even recommended to use a separate virtual disk for these purposes. If the computer becomes infected with viruses or a system error occurs, the disk can be encrypted.
Step 6
Use licensed software to prevent the possibility of hacking your video surveillance system over the Internet. With the correct connection of the camera to the computer, constant monitoring of the protected area will be carried out. Thus, you can protect your home, work or car from unwanted intrusion of unauthorized persons.
