Updating the software filling of the NOKIA phone does not take much time and, as a rule, does not cause difficulties. Much more often, users ask themselves the question of how to bring a phone that does not turn on at all, the so-called "dead" phone, into working condition? In fact, the flashing of such a device is not much different from the firmware of a regular NOKIA phone and is performed using the same software. Before starting the flashing process, you need to fully charge the phone if possible.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the "Device Manager", to do this, in the "System Properties" window, go to the "Hardware" tab and click the corresponding button. Connect the phone to the computer after removing the SIM card and flash card from it. Press and hold the power button on the phone for a couple of seconds, then repeat this operation several times within 15–20 seconds, the system will detect the connection of two devices. Check if there are any errors during the installation of these devices (there is no exclamation mark on the names of these devices in the "Device Manager"), if there are errors, then you need to reinstall the drivers from the phone.
Step 2
Download and install Phoenix software on your computer. Connect your phone and run the program, select the No connection mode
Step 3
From the File menu, select Open Product. In the window that opens, select your phone model, for example, RM-217 and click OK.
Step 4
From the Flashing menu, select Firmware Update. In the window that appears, click the Product Code button and select the code for the firmware, you can find out the code here
Step 5
Check the Dead Phone USB flashing checkbox and click the Refurbish button. After a while, a text containing the line Press the phones power button will appear in the Output window, as soon as this happens, press and hold the phone's power button for a couple of seconds.
Step 6
The flashing process takes about ten minutes, upon completion you will see the text Product flashing succeeded, after which the phone will automatically turn on.
