Wireless modems from the "MTS" company are delivered as lightweight as possible in setting, as a rule, it is enough to connect the modem, install the supplied software and you can start working. However, in some cases, additional configuration of the connection may be required.
Instructions
Step 1
In the software provided with the modem, you can configure settings such as limiting the network connection and recognizing the modem by the computer (as a modem or as a network card).
Step 2
If you do not want to use the supplied MTS-Connect program at all, you can configure the connection using standard Windows tools.
Step 3
Create a new Dial-Up connection. Enter * 99 # as the dial-in number, mts as the username, and mts as the password.
Step 4
Now open the modem properties in the Device Manager, go to the "Additional communication parameters" tab and enter the following data in the "Additional initialization commands" line: AT + CGDCONT = 1, "IP", "internet.mts.ru".
Step 5
Use the connection like a regular dial-up connection and use the Internet access.
