If the phone stops responding or is acting erratically, it is possible that there is a virus in the device. A cell phone with a virus may not make phone calls, shut down on its own, or unexpectedly close applications. You can remove the virus from the cell phone and return it to working condition using these instructions.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember and write down what operations were carried out with the phone before it was "infected". List all recent changes or downloads to your phone.
Step 2
Write down any error messages that appear on the cell phone screen.
Step 3
Determine the make and model of your device. This information can be found on the back of the phone under the battery on a sticker or under the heading "Phone information".
Step 4
Find all the available information by device model number and error message on the mobile phone manufacturer's website or on the carrier's support website.
Step 5
Download a program to back up or sync your device data. They are available on the website of the phone manufacturer or mobile operator.
Step 6
Back up your contacts, photos, music and videos. Save this data to a memory stick or to a computer (via USB cable) that is virus-free and works fine.
Step 7
Select the option of the type "Reinstallation Wizard" in the device and reinstall the firmware of the mobile phone. This process will restore the phone to its original state and destroy all data and virus.
Step 8
Restart your phone and check if it works.
Step 9
If everything works, start recovering your personal data. Try manually adding contacts, photos, music, etc.
Step 10
Check your device for virus symptoms after adding each item. If symptoms return after adding a specific file, then that file is likely corrupted and the source of the problem. Delete the file and don't add it to your phone again.
