Often, due to too bright sunlight, deep shadows appear on the subjects being photographed, due to which important details "fall out" of the frame. Flash allows you to lighten all those shadows.
It is necessary
- - camera;
- - flash.
Instructions
Step 1
There are two ways to create "fill lighting": using automatic flash and also using manual flash.
Step 2
To manually turn on the flash, set the flash to the hot shoe first. If the flash you are using is automatic, set this unit to manual mode. Following this, set the appropriate CCD sensitivity on the disk calculator.
Step 3
Then set the minimum allowable sync speed. Then measure the illumination of the lightest part of the photographed object and set the required aperture value on the exposure meter. Use the flash disk calculator to find the aperture value that will be one step higher than the exposure meter reading.
Step 4
If you need a stronger illumination, take a picture at a distance corresponding to the distance set at the aperture. Move the flash farther away from the subject to reduce the illumination intensity.
Step 5
To create “fill light” with auto flash, attach the device to the camera hot shoe and set the appropriate CCD sensitivity settings. Then set the minimum allowable sync speed.
Step 6
Following this, measure the illumination in the bright area and set the appropriate value on the aperture. Then set the desired mode using the dedicated switch. After that, use the calculator on the flash to determine the required aperture value: this will provide the correct exposure value for external lighting, and also make it possible to adjust the value of the object's backlight level with the flash light.
