Step 1
Bring the purchase home and let it sit at room temperature for about an hour. Unpack all the cables that came with the kit, check the disks.
Step 2
Read carefully the instructions supplied with the camera. If the operating manual that you have is written in a foreign language, you can always find it on the Internet in Russian. Think about the quality of your purchase, because serious manufacturers always supply the device with the Russian version of the manual.
Step 3
Remove the battery. It can be either in a special package or inserted into the camera, if it was checked in a store. Insert the battery into the charger and connect it to the mains. The battery should be charged for as long as indicated in your instructions. The battery must be fully charged the first time.
Step 4
Connect the camera to a computer to charge the battery via a USB cable if there is no dedicated charger. Insert a charged battery into the camera, then insert a memory card if purchased separately from your device. To do this, use the section on how to properly insert additional removable media.
Step 5
Turn on the device by pressing the button on the body of the device. As a rule, it is located under the index finger of the right hand and has an international designation. Be careful not to obstruct the lens of the device with your hand, as it will most likely extend.
Step 6
Make sure an image appears on the screen (in digital cameras). Go to settings. Select the "date and time setting" mode. Set the correct time according to your time zone and date in the correct format. Check if you should include the date and time on your photos. To do this, you must check the appropriate box.
Step 7
Select the "sound" item in the menu and set the necessary settings by selecting the sound of the shutter, on, off, etc. or by disabling it completely.
Step 8
Set the camera to auto mode. Take some pictures. Check if they have survived and what is their quality. Adjust brightness, contrast, and more based on the pictures you take.
