The smoking gadget is made of plastic. In the lower part there is a heating element. There is a hole here where the sticks are inserted. The pocket charger is also made of plastic. To charge the holder, you need to open the cover in the charger. This can be done with one finger by clicking on the button on the sidebar.
Indicators
There are several buttons and indicators on the side of the charger. - Power button. - Button for cleaning the holder. - Indicator of device charging. - Holder charging indicator. - Button to open the cover of the device.
If the holder's charging indicator is blinking green, it means it is charging. When charging is complete, the green light will be on continuously. Flashing orange means the holder has poor contact with the charger. Try opening the cover, pulling out the holder, and then reinserting it. If the orange indicator continues to blink, you need to contact the service center. When flashing red, you need to reboot the device. To do this, simultaneously press the power button and the automatic cleaning of the device.
The fewer the charging indicators are green (maximum four dots), the less power is left and the device needs to be charged. The auto cleaning indicator will flash amber while charging. This means that cleaning will start soon. During this process, the indicator will turn green. If the charging and auto clear indicators are flashing red at the same time, the device must be rebooted. If no LEDs are on, the charger is turned off or completely discharged.
Instructions for use
Once you purchase your IQOS, it needs to be charged. The holder dock holds twenty charges, which equals twenty cigarettes. This is enough for the average smoker for a day. The charging time is approximately two hours.
To start charging, you must insert the plug into the outlet and connect the adapter cord to the docking station. During charging, it is required that the IQOS unit is without the holder station inside. Only after the unit is fully charged, the holder is inserted there for charging. It takes five minutes to charge. It is recommended to do this after each smoked cigarette or before using the gadget.
The stick fits into the holder until it stops. You can also navigate by the mark on the stick. Now you need to press and hold the holder power button until a blinking LED appears. After that, the stick will begin to heat up for twenty seconds. Then you can start using the gadget. After six minutes or fifteen puffs, the indicator will flash, indicating one puff remaining. The stick life is enough for sixteen puffs. To pull the "bull" out of the gadget, you need to open the cap and take it out.
The IQOS manual explains that you only need to use the “native” adapter to charge the device. However, practice suggests the opposite: our users do the opposite. The manufacturer wants to warn us that there are suitable voltage and current on the charger and gadget, but is silent about some consequences. And judging by the fact that so far no incidents have been observed, the charger will be used for anything.
Manual cleaning
The user of this device must remember that the device needs regular cleaning. The sensations during use (smell and taste) will largely depend on this. If the device is not cleaned for a long time, it will increase the charge consumption. In addition, it will warm up when not needed. Excessive heating can damage the device sooner or later.
To manually clean the device: - Remove the cap from the charger. - Open the cleaning kit by pushing it in until it clicks. - If you decide to clean the device immediately after use, you must wait at least five minutes for it to cool down. - Insert the brush into the heater and gently rotate it to remove the remaining tobacco.
Sometimes part of the tobacco stick can get stuck in the holder cap. To clean it, remove the hook from the cleaning device. Insert into the holder cap and clean in an up and down motion or in a circular fashion. Then gently tap the cap to remove any remaining tobacco.
Automatic cleaning
It is activated by pressing a button on the side panel and is produced by heating. It is recommended to do this every time before starting manual cleaning, which, according to the manufacturer, will only improve the gadget's performance. In fact, such statements are not confirmed by users. Yes, there is less garbage, but this fact does not make the process of use any easier. This type of cleaning turns on automatically after every twentieth use.
