To ensure the safety of property, people resort to the use of such means of protection as an alarm. If we talk about cars, there are a fairly large number of devices that can be armed and disarmed using a special key fob. How to turn off the alarm in a non-standard or emergency?
Instructions
Step 1
If you cannot disarm the car with the key fob, check if it is in working order (very often a dead battery becomes the cause of a malfunction). Replace the old one with a new one and try to repeat your actions.
Step 2
The signal that comes from the remote control directly to the car can be "jammed" by extraneous signals, in this case, get as close to the car as possible and try to turn off the alarm again.
Step 3
If the previous two steps did not give positive results, then determine the type (by name) of the alarm installed on your car. Subsequent actions will be selected based on this.
Step 4
Open the car door with the key (at this moment the alarm should go off and the side lights should turn on).
Step 5
Turn on the car ignition.
Step 6
Find the Valet car alarm button in the cabin (usually, with the standard version, this button is located near the driver's feet, directly under the steering wheel, on the back of the steering column, near the handbrake or under the driver's seat).
Step 7
After ten seconds, press the Valet alarm off button, this will make it possible to turn off the alarm and start the car.
Step 8
Use your personal code, if you have one. Open the car with the key. Turn the ignition on, off and back on. Press the Valet button the number of times that will correspond to the first digit of your code. Then turn off and then turn on the ignition again and press the Valet button again the number of times that will correspond to the second digit of the code.
