From January 27, 2014, new emergency numbers have been introduced in Russia: ambulance, fire, police and gas. These are three-digit numbers, two digits in which all Russians have long known. Just add "1" to them at the beginning.
Reception of urgent calls to provide assistance to citizens from any telephone (both landline and mobile) is carried out by the numbers:
101 - phone number of the fire department;
102 - police phone;
103 - emergency medical service telephone;
104 - emergency gas service.
Old two-digit telephones 01, 02, 03, 04 are also valid. They will function for several months. Until the end of 2014, most likely, they will stop receiving calls.
You can call the new emergency numbers from any city, village, village, from the highway and country road on the territory of Russia - from where there is even a weak reception of a cellular operator's connection or where there is a landline wired telephone. The call can be made in the networks of all Russian mobile operators, even if there are no funds on the mobile phone account and the SIM card was removed from the device.
There is also a short single emergency number - 112. The caller will be redirected to the ambulance line, police, emergency service, Ministry of Emergency Situations, gas service, special service "Antiterror" or to the emergency service of housing and communal services. You can call the rescue service from your mobile. You can call 112 from August 2013.
By number 115 you will be provided with information and instructions for using electronic public services online.
Another important emergency number for citizens has been introduced - 122 (you can also call numbers 122 and 123). This is the Child in Danger hotline. If a child is missing, if he does not answer calls or does not open the door, if he has received psychological or physical trauma and in other situations, you should urgently call the "Child in Danger" help desk.
The order of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications on the introduction of new emergency numbers in Russia entered into force on January 27, 2014.
