Sending a document by fax can be difficult for someone who is not familiar with this procedure. However, there is nothing difficult in this, in order to send a document by fax, it is enough to perform an algorithm of several actions that do not take much time and are quickly remembered.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to prepare a document to be sent by fax. The text of the document is printed, as a rule, on A4 paper, but certain models of fax machines also support the minimum document size - 128 mm by 128 mm. Normally, machines that support this format have built-in document size adjusters. So, after the document is printed in the required format, carefully examine it. The print quality of the text should be good enough so that your recipient does not have problems parsing the text. If ink smears on the document after printing, it is better to use the printer services again.
Step 2
Open the document feeder tray to insert a document to be sent into the fax. On most models, it is located at the back of the machine. Insert paper face down. If you need to send multiple sheets, the steps may vary depending on the fax model. There are fax machines that support bulk sending, which means that, as a rule, up to 10 pages can be inserted into the document feed tray. If the machine does not support this operation, then the sheets will have to be inserted one at a time. After the document is inserted into the fax, a single beep should sound and the document should be seized.
Step 3
Dial your recipient's number. When the other end picks up the phone, introduce yourself and ask to receive the fax. The most common word for sending a fax is the word "Start", then you and your recipient press the "Start" button, and the fax begins to be sent. Do not hang up until the fax is complete. If the recipient's fax is working in automatic mode, then dial his number, wait for the fax tone, then press "Start".
Step 4
After the document has been sent, click the "Contact" button, or call back to another number, if the recipient has an automatic machine, and ask whether the fax was successful, whether the text was blurry. If the addressee receives a document of poor quality, repeat the operation from the beginning.
