When buying a new plasma TV, you always want to experiment with it, get acquainted with its capabilities, for example, view photos, films or listen to music from your computer. But how to do that?
Instructions
Step 1
Use the digital video outputs to connect the plasma to your computer. The most optimal output is HDMI. Modern plasma TVs have two or even three of these connectors.
Step 2
Make sure that no additional monitors are connected to the computer, otherwise the desktop will not be displayed on the TV screen. Although exceptions are possible, since very often video cards have this output set to a display with a resolution of 1920 * 1080 or 1280 * 720 pixels. Therefore, if your plasma corresponds to these dimensions with a 1400 * 900 pixel connector, in the worst case, nothing may be displayed on the screen.
Step 3
If you do not have such an adapter, connect via the DVI connector, it is much more common and is capable of transmitting the same video signals. Do not worry if your computer does not have digital video outputs, you can also connect devices with each other using the VGA input, which allows you to view photos with the best quality. To do this, find this input on the back of the TV case and connect it to the PC using a cable.
Step 4
Please also note that DVI was not originally designed to transmit audio signals, so you will need to purchase an HDMI to VGA adapter (if it was not included with your computer). Remember, not all Plasma TVs can display 16: 9 images correctly because the computer does not always see their large aspect ratio.
Step 5
If this connector is not available in your plasma, use a YUV adapter. This output is contained in most video cards and allows you to view images with high resolution - up to 1920 * 1080 pixels, but with a lower quality.
Step 6
To connect plasma to a computer, use video connectors: Video, S-Video, Scart, but keep in mind that the quality of the signal transmitted by them will be equal to the original television image. Therefore, do not be surprised if the pictures on the plasma screen are blurry.
