Instructions

Step 1

A Windows computer has several documents that allow you to create printed text. The simplest of these is the Notepad text document. You can use it by opening it through the Start menu, the Accessories folder. Notepad is as easy to use as possible if you just want to learn how to type on a computer keyboard. Look at the keyboard. Please note that it is multifunctional: when switching the keyboard layout on the "Language bar", you can use the letters of the Russian and English alphabets. Above the alphabetic keyboard is a panel with numbers and punctuation marks. Buttons "Bakspace" and "Delete" are used to delete text.

Step 2

After examining the location of the function keys, start typing. Please note that the letters of the Russian alphabet are marked on the lower right corner of the key. They are usually highlighted in bright colors. Try to type with all your fingers at once, even if you have difficulty finding the letters you want. Subsequently, your typing speed will increase and you will be able to type blindly.

Step 3

If you need to use numbers, just click on the corresponding keys on the number panel. If you need to type punctuation marks or non-text characters, press and hold the "Shift" key while clicking on the required character. Use "Shift" also if you need to type a capital letter. Please note that in Notepad you can edit the printed text, but it will not be possible to change the font or highlight it in color.

Step 4

If you need to change the style and size of the font, add various characters that are not on the keyboard, if you need to check the spelling, use WordPad and Word. The typed text is entered into them in the same way as in "Notepad". Additional functions can be applied by clicking on certain buttons of the "Contextual Pen": they can be found above the "printed sheet".

Step 5

When finished, save the typed text. To do this, in the top panel, open the "File" tab and select the "Save" command.
