When installing any operating system, the installation package adds a number of standard entertainment applications to the user's computer. Among them are games, the presence of which is not always necessary, and often completely unnecessary for a particular person. Despite the automatic installation of games, unnecessary applications can always be removed after installing the OS. A feature of the built-in games is their "invisibility" for the Add or Remove Programs service. But, despite this, it is not at all difficult to remove such games.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the menu items of the "Start" button: "All Programs" - "Games". Move the mouse cursor over the menu bar with the name of the game you want to delete. Open the context menu of this item by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Properties" mode.
Step 2
The dialog box of the properties of the menu item that launches in this case the built-in game will appear on the screen. Open the "Shortcut" tab in this window. At the bottom of the window are the shortcut modes, including the search mode for the executable file of the built-in game.
Step 3
Click the "Find Object …" button in the tab to open the folder containing the game file. The peculiarity of the built-in games of the OS is that they consist of only one executable file. It is his removal that will lead to the removal of the game itself. In the window of the expanded folder, the file of the game to be deleted will be displayed as a highlighted list object with the file name.
Step 4
Delete the highlighted game executable file. To do this, press the "Delete" button on the keyboard. The system will ask for confirmation of the actions being performed. In the dialog box that appears, confirm the operation by clicking "Yes", after which the file will be deleted from the disk.
Step 5
Sometimes the operating system does not automatically erase the shortcut for the remote game from the Start button menu. Remove the shortcut yourself. To do this, open the context menu of the item by the name of the game again, as described in the first step. Then select the "Delete" mode in it and confirm the deletion of the shortcut for the game application at the system request. After that, the game shortcut will be removed from the menu, as the game itself was previously removed from the system.
