Instructions
Step 1
When connecting a microphone to your computer, you will surely pay attention to the color of the output plug - it will be red or pink. On the input panel of the sound card, you can also see the red (pink) connector. To connect a microphone to a computer, you just need to insert the device plug into the corresponding socket on the sound card. That is, the microphone must be connected to the red jack.
Step 2
It should be emphasized that just connecting the device is not enough for its correct operation. After you insert the microphone plug into the sound card jack, you need to set up the device. A window will automatically open on the desktop, in which you must check the box opposite the "Microphone" item. The device will then be ready for use.
Step 3
In the volume settings, set the parameters of all devices to the maximum position. To do this, click on the speaker shortcut on the taskbar. In the properties of the window, you can set the appropriate settings.
Step 4
It's worth noting that you can save yourself the hassle of setting up your microphone by purchasing a wireless device. In this case, you just need to install the driver for the USB microphone transmitter and turn the device switch to the “ON” position. The software disc is usually included with the wireless microphone. After installing the driver, you need to insert the transmitter into the USB port. There are no additional settings for activating the microphone in this case.
