Individual phone settings allow not only optimizing it for comfortable use by a specific owner, but also making the phone an accessory that reflects the character of its owner. Key tones on Samsung phones are customizable. There are several ways to mute the keys.
Instructions
Step 1
In standby mode, press the side volume key to the lowest mark until the crossed out speaker icon appears on the display. To return the sound, press the upper side volume key. To enter standby mode, simply open the slider or unlock the keyboard.
Step 2
To activate the "Silent" mode, press and hold the "#" key in standby mode for a few seconds. To return to normal mode, repeat the action. The "Silent" mode can also be set through the "Settings" option. Enter the menu, select "Settings", go to the "Profiles" section and set the "Silent" mode.
Step 3
To mute the keys or set a different keyboard sound, open the menu, go to the Settings section, select Profiles and press the Options left soft key. In the menu that appears, select the "Change" command and confirm your choice. Use the four-way navigation key to navigate to the "Phone sounds" section. In the "Power on / off the phone" section, select the "Off" mode, confirm the choice.
Step 4
Go to the "Phone volume" menu item, press the "Options" button, then "Change" and use the four-way navigation keys to set the sound mode to "0". Confirm the action by clicking on the "Select" button. To return the sound of the phone keys, use the right navigation key to set the volume to a value other than "0".
Step 5
In order to set a different sound when pressing the keys, go to the "Keyboard Sound" section and select from the available list the sound that suits you, moving along the lines using the navigation keys. Confirm your selection by pressing the Select key or the confirmation key located in the center of the four-way navigation keys. Leaving the menu, confirm your choice again by answering affirmatively to the question “Save changes?”.
