ITunes is the main tool for working with the iPhone. It is this program that allows you to transfer all the necessary content to your mobile device. All iPhone versions come with iTunes pre-installed and does not require additional configuration, apart from the authorization procedure.
Instructions
Step 1
The procedure for transferring the necessary information stored on a computer to a mobile device is called synchronization. The iTunes application acts not only as a multimedia processor, but also as the main tool for working with the iPhone.
Step 2
Connect your phone to your computer using the supplied USB cable for the synchronization procedure. By default, this action launches the iTunes application on your computer. Wait until the program detects the connected mobile device and specify it in the list on the left pane of the application window.
Step 3
Check out all the tabs in the mobile device window and change their settings as you wish. The "Information" panel is intended to select the synchronization parameters, and it is in this panel that the basic settings are made.
Step 4
In the Contacts pane, you can sync your computer's address book information to your iPhone. Note that iTunes supports not only Microsoft Entourage and Outlook 2003 and 2007, but Yahoo! Address Book.
Step 5
Synchronize your calendars in the Calendars pane and migrate your email client settings to the Mail Accounts pane. Please note that changes made to your phone account settings are not transferred to your computer.
Step 6
Transfer your browser bookmarks and favorites to your iPhone in the Web Browser panel, and sync selected photos from your albums to the Photos panel. Take advantage of the opportunity to watch synchronized movies on your mobile device. To do this, select the desired video files in the Movies panel.
Step 7
In the Music panel, you can choose to sync your entire computer library or just selected playlists. An additional option is the ability to fill all the remaining iPhone space with audio files.
Step 8
Do not forget to click the "Apply" button after each selection in the settings panel.
