The iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 mobile devices were introduced in 2013 as the flagship models of two popular brands in the modern mobile device market - Apple and Samsung. These devices are in the same price category, but they have a number of serious differences that may affect the decision to purchase one or another model.
Operating system
The main difference that makes the difference between the two devices is the software used. The iPhone 5 runs iOS, while the S4 runs Android. Each of the operating systems has its own advantages and disadvantages. IOS provides an easy, intuitive and feature rich interface. Android offers a more complex system to manage, which, however, is open to use and can be more finely tuned by the user.
Screen
In addition to differences in the operating system, devices have different screens and display technologies. Samsung offers a high resolution (1920x1080 pixels) and a larger (5 inches) display area.
The iPhone 5's screen has a resolution of 1136x640 pixels with a size of 4 inches.
The iPhone display features IPS technology that dramatically improves screen response times. What's more, on the iPhone screen, each pixel has an additional subpixel, which results in a sharper, sharper image.
Specifications
The amount of RAM (RAM) Samsung Galaxy S4 is 2 GB; iPhone 5 has half the size (1 GB). However, this difference is arbitrary, since each of the devices has a different operating system and the distribution of processes in the device.
Each OS offers its own RAM requirements.
The Galaxy S4 has a 13-megapixel camera (8 megapixels for the iPhone). Also, the device from Samsung has a slot for installing a memory card, which is good for expanding the amount of memory available for content. This feature is not available on the iPhone. The iPhone 5 case is made of special glass, which is enclosed in a steel frame, which gives the device better strength than a plastic coating. However, the cost of replacing a unique glass panel can be significantly higher. Thanks to its smaller display, iPhone has a narrower body and is easier to hold in your hand. Apple's device is somewhat thinner and shorter. Other differences include differences in battery capacity. Samsung provides more battery life and has a faster quad-core processor than the dual-core iPhone.
