On June 11, 2012 Apple announced the release of iOS 6 - the next generation of the operating system for mobile devices, which includes more than two hundred new features. The official release of this OS is expected in the fall, but for now, specialists and future users have the opportunity to observe the changes taking place in the system in the last months before the start of distribution.

Officially, iOS 6 has not yet been released, but software developers, and everyone else, have the opportunity to download "pre-releases" from the company's website and evaluate the changes in the composition and functionality of the new OS. So, in August, there were reports that the next release suddenly did not have an application for working with videos posted on the popular video hosting YouTube. In Apple operating systems, this application has been present in all versions since 2007.

To questions from developers and journalists, Apple representatives gave a laconic answer - the company has run out of a license to use this service in its developments, and will not renew it. As an alternative, future users of the system are offered to use the standard Apple browser - Safari. In addition, representatives of the Cupertino-based company said that Google is developing a new application for working with YouTube. When this application is ready, it will appear in the App Store, the built-in store of the iOS operating system.

Google owns the YouTube service, so the fact that the new version of Apple's operating system has no place for another application of this company, Google Maps, is also remarkable. Instead, Yabloko spent money on creating a completely new in-house Maps application with Apple's cartography. It provides turn-by-turn navigation and flyover views.

Taking into account this replacement, the specialists get the impression that the Cupertino-based company is purposefully getting rid of Google products integrated into its own developments. Perhaps this is due to the diversification of Google, which is now engaged in the creation of mobile devices, which leads to increased competition between the two companies.
