Often, mobile phone manufacturers install only two language packs in their devices: English and the native language of the population for whose country the model is intended. You can add the language you want to your phone yourself.
Necessary
- - PPModd program;
- - a program for firmware Phoenix phone;
- - ppm file suitable for your phone;
- - phone and cable for connecting to a computer.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to add a new language to your phone, you need to flash it with a modified ppm file containing the required language. You can find it in the regular firmware for your phone model. This file contains text resources, pictures, animation, music.
Step 2
Download and install PPModd. Run it and click the Open button. Select the ppm file containing the language you want. Open it, it does not happen immediately, wait 30 seconds.
Step 3
Expand the PPM tree by clicking on the + icon. In the menu that opens, go to the TEXT item. Select the desired language and right-click on it. Select Export to xml from the menu. Do this for AORD and LDB items. Save the result of the performed operations by clicking the Save button.
Step 4
Open the ppm file with which you will flash the phone to add the selected language to it. In the TEXT, AORD and LDB tabs, delete unnecessary languages by selecting them, right-clicking and selecting the Delete command.
Step 5
To add the required language to the ppm file, right-click on the TEXT tab and select Import from xml. Write the previously saved file into it. The same must be done for the AORD and LDB tabs, writing a separate file for each item.
Step 6
After you finish working with the ppm file, you need to save it. To do this, click the Create PPM button. Specify the path to save the file. To make it easier to search for it in the future, save it to your desktop. Wait for the ppm to be saved, it takes some time.
Step 7
Launch Phoenix and flash your phone with the ppm file you created. Follow the instructions carefully while flashing your phone.
