Cards called NanoSIM are used for the iPhone 5, which Apple has delighted fans of its products. A new type of SIM cards simply had to appear, since the new iPhone became a quarter thinner than its predecessor. Now iPhone fans will have to replace their SIM card. But the problem is that the operator may simply not have NanoSIM. Then you have to do it yourself.
Necessary
- - MicroSIM card or ordinary;
- - A4 paper;
- - Printer;
- - glue or double-sided tape;
- - pencil, scissors, ruler;
- - sandpaper
Instructions
Step 1
After the preparation for work is completed, we proceed directly to manufacturing.
In PDF format, you need to print the required template for cutting on the printer. It should be printed on A4 paper at 100% scale. The printer does not have to be color, black and white is fine.
Step 2
After printing the template, a SIM card is glued to it using double-sided tape or glue. If a standard card is cut off, then the template will be the middle MiniSIM (2FF) to NanoSIM (4FF), and if the MicroSIM card is cut off, then the place of its attachment will be the bottom MicroSIM (3FF) to NanoSIM (4FF) template. Be careful: the card can be positioned correctly only in one version, the cut corner will act as an assistant here.
Step 3
It takes some time to allow the glue to dry. Then the required contour is outlined according to the template. You can circle it with a well-sharpened simple pencil or marker.
Step 4
Next, the glued card is separated from the template sheet and neatly cut along the marked lines.
Step 5
If a simple SIM card is cut, then the cut will be along the contact plates. This should not be feared, since the chip is smaller, it will not be affected and this will not affect the functionality of the card in any way. And if we reduce MicroSIM, the cut lines will pass along the boundaries of the contact plates.
Step 6
The corners obtained on the new map are rounded off with sandpaper or trimmed with scissors.
Step 7
The NanoSIM card is 0.09mm thinner than other cards. Practice shows that this is completely invisible. But if it happens that the card is tightly inserted into the phone slot, the same sandpaper will help to remove the extra microns.
