Many people like to listen to music, watch movies and read books on the go. It is very convenient when all this can be done on one device - a player. Modern players often combine all these functions, which eliminates the need to purchase an e-book.
Necessary
- - player;
- - cable for connecting to a computer;
- - computer;
- - text files
Instructions
Step 1
If your goal is to read books on the player, inform the seller when you buy. Such a function must be present in the device initially, you cannot then add it using a new firmware or in any other way. Therefore, first of all, make sure that the player supports reading text files, namely files with the.txt or.doc extensions. In most cases, these are txt files, on a computer they are usually created and read in Notepad.
Step 2
The player's screen must be large enough to read without harming the eyes. Naturally, the dimensions of portable players usually have limitations and if you need comfortable reading, it is better to purchase an e-book (on which you can also open.doc and.pdf files). And yet, the larger the player, and especially the screen size, the better. An example of the optimal resolution is 480x272 pixels or at least 320x240.
Step 3
Before buying, test the player and find out if you are satisfied with the way it displays the text. Usually the devices already have a text file loaded as an example. Make sure the letters are legible and legible enough and that reading is not too difficult when the screen is tilted. There must be at least ten lines on the screen, otherwise you just get tired of scrolling the text. Although it is worth noting that the player can support automatic scrolling of text at a configurable speed, this depends on the model.
Step 4
So, you have become the proud owner of a player with support for reading texts. Now upload books to it. To do this, copy the text to a file with the.txt extension (for example, by opening the Notepad program). Then connect the player to the computer and copy the book file to a special folder on it. As a rule, such players are connected to computers using special USB cables.
