Step 1
Install a modem on your phone by connecting your phone to your computer using a USB cable.
Wait for the computer to recognize the cell phone. If you have any problems, try to reinstall the modem using the disk that comes with the phone.
Step 2
Open on your computer "Start", then "Settings", then "Control Panel", then "Phone and Modem Options". In the "Modems" window, click the "Add" button and select the required modem from the list (your phone model), to continue, click "Next".
Specify on which port the modem should be installed and wait for its successful installation.
Set up the modem, but do not forget that the phone must be connected to it.
Step 3
Fill in the field "Additional initialization commands", in which it is mandatory to write down the modem initialization line with the indication of the cellular operator.
Configure the connection, to do this, go to "Start" again, select "Network Connections" and in the window that appears, click "Create a new connection".
Check "Connect to the Internet" and "Next".
Step 4
From the list, select your installed modem, in the window that opens, write your mobile operator, for example, like this (MTS GPRS).
Click the Properties button in the MTS GPRS Connection window.
Make sure that only “Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)” is selected in the “Components used by this connection” line, disable the rest.
Step 5
Select "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)" and check "Obtain an IP address automatically" in the box (For MTS, check "Obtain DNS server address automatically.") Now try to log in to the network by clicking the MTS GPRS icon on the desktop, if it is not installed on the desktop, then remove it from the "Network Connections" folder. In the “Connect to MTS GPRS” window, press the “Call” button. If you followed these instructions exactly, the connection to the Internet using your mobile phone should be successful. Now you can get the information you need from the Internet at any time.
