Instructions
Step 1
First, select the software with which you will replace the cell phone firmware. For Samsung devices, it's better to use the SGH Flasher app. The main advantage of this program is the ability to create a backup copy of the phone's firmware.
Step 2
Download this app. Be sure to extract all files from the archive. This will ensure that the program works correctly. Fully charge your mobile phone battery. The flashing process can take 20-30 minutes. Disconnecting the device during this procedure will result in a severe failure.
Step 3
Download the new firmware version. Be sure to make sure it is compatible with your mobile device model. Prepare the USB cable required to connect your phone to your computer. Start the SGH Flasher program.
Step 4
Turn off your mobile phone and connect your device to your computer. Click the Dump full flash (16mb) button located in the NOR Dumping column. Select the folder where the firmware backup will be saved. Wait for this procedure to complete.
Step 5
Click the Disconnect button and disconnect the device from your computer. Restart the SGH Flasher software. Reconnect your mobile device to your computer.
Step 6
Find the NOR Flashing menu and click the Flash BIN File button. After starting the explorer, specify the location of the firmware file with the extension.bin. Confirm the start of the firmware update process several times.
Step 7
Wait while the SGH Flasher app performs the required operations. This can take from 20 to 30 minutes. The phone will be rebooted 2-3 times. After completing the firmware, click the Disconnect button and disconnect the cable from the computer.
Step 8
Switch on your mobile phone. Make sure the machine is stable.
