Today, there are several ways to receive a signal simultaneously from several satellite dishes. One or more receivers can be used for this. This whole process is based on the use of the control system DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control).
Necessary
- - knife;
- - pliers;
- - DiSEqC switch 4-1 or 8-1;
- - satellite receiver.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the cable. To do this, use a knife and pliers. Strip the top layer of insulation. There will be a screen of small wires under it, take them to the cable. Cut the bottom foil layer behind it. Expose the core of the cable. Carefully clean it with a knife from the top layer of enamel and put on the F-connector. Trim off the excess shielding layer.
Step 2
Connect three converters to DiSEqC (used to connect several converters), since the first antenna will be directed to three satellites (Hotbird 13e, Astra 4, 8e, Amos 4W), you will need three cables for this. Insulate DiSEqC from any moisture ingress. It is better not to wrap the connections with electrical tape, it is better to use heat shrinkage.
Step 3
Connect DiSEqC to the receiver. To do this, disconnect the tuner (receiver) from the 220V network, screw the F-connector to the LBN in. Then adjust the satellite dish. First, install a central satellite, for example, the most popular in Russia - Astra 4, 8e (Sirius). To do this, set the parameters 11766h27500 in the satellite receiver menu, where 11766 is the frequency, h is the horizontal polarization, and 27500 is the flow rate.
Step 4
It is possible to tune in to any other, the frequencies of all satellites can be found on the website www.lyngsat.com. Place the antenna vertically and tune it by slowly turning left and right until the signal quality band on the receiver is about 65-70%. After that, fix all its fasteners
Step 5
Adjust the side converters. To do this, temporarily turn off the central one, for satellites, for example, Amos (10723h27500) and Hot Bird (10853h27500). Then connect DiSEqC switch 4-1 (four inputs - one output). Then scan three satellites. Adjust the second antenna in the same way.
Step 6
Connecting two satellite dishes to one receiver means connecting converters. To connect them together, the simplest way would be to use a DiSEqC switch, 4-1 or 8-1, depending on how many converters are installed on both satellite dishes. Likewise, cables are connected to its inputs, and the output cable is connected to the receiver. DiSEqC must be enabled in the satellite tuner in the settings menu. T
