If you bought an Alcatel phone abroad, be prepared for the fact that it will not be able to recognize the unlock codes when it is already in Russia. However, this is not the only possible situation when you urgently need to unlock your phone, but there are no codes at hand.
Instructions
Step 1
To unlock your phone, use a special SmartMoto program designed for flashing many phone models with and without Smart-Clip. Download this program from the link: www.smart-clip.com/smartmoto.php. Officially, Alcatel MTK-based phones are not supported by SmartMoto, but domestic testers have proven the opposite
Step 2
After following the link and downloading the program, connect Smart-Clip to your computer. Now run the program. In the phone connection menu window, select "USB Smart Clip" and then click "Search". Carefully fill out the registration form and get the Smart-Clip activation code after filling it out.
Step 3
Before starting to work with SmartMoto, set up compatibility of the program with the operating system of your computer. For correct operation of the program in the latest versions of MS Windows, launch it, open the Smart-Clip section and check the box next to the option “Prohibit the system from polling LPT ports”. Then restart your computer.
Step 4
Connect the S-Card to one of the USB ports on your computer. Then launch SmartMoto. Select "PC COM Ports" from the "Phone Connection" menu. Click on the MTK Models tab. Then connect the disconnected phone to the computer using the COM-data cable and select this COM-port in SmartMoto.
Step 5
After that, click "Read unlock codes" and follow the instructions that appear in the log window. So, for example, you can activate the "Work with the second IMEI" function if your phone has two SIM cards. At that time:
- press and hold the power button on the phone;
- release it as soon as the message “Reading unlock codes” appears in the SmartMoto window.
Step 6
Now unplug your phone from the COM port and turn it off. First insert the SIM card you do not need into your phone and turn it on. Enter the code identified by SmartMoto in the window that appears in the menu.
