Professional plotters are large in size and may take an entire room to accommodate, but there are plotters that are used for small tasks and can cut patterns of any ornament using different sized knives.

Step 1
The so-called home plotters are small compared to other models - they can be slightly larger than a regular inkjet printer. Most of these plotters support cutting from any paper-based material. After creating a pattern using a plotter, you can transfer it to fabric or completely decorate it with different means. The plotter can receive your drawings, both from a computer, and read them from memory cards. It is advisable to use a computer if your drawing has not yet been fully drawn.
Step 2
To make a picture, use the vector graphics editor - Corel Draw. The editor version doesn't matter. The most important thing is to create a beautiful ornament. After connecting the plotter to the computer, a sound signal will notify you about this, prepare the necessary sheets of paper. For better paper cutting, it is necessary to use a special support (carrier), it has a sticky surface that does not allow the paper to move freely in the paper feed tray.
Step 3
Insert the paper with a backing into the plotter, while pressing the Enter button - the machine will automatically pick up the sheet. Go to your drawing editing program and press the button that corresponds to your plotter. In the window that appears, the plotter driver prompts that the drawing does not go beyond the boundaries, i.e. you can start printing.
Step 4
The plotter will start cutting your drawing, after cutting is finished, press the Enter button again - the plotter will free your drawing. As a result, you should have beautifully cut patterns.
