However, you can't just transfer a movie from your PC to your mobile phone. To play a video file on your phone, you must meet a number of conditions and perform the necessary actions.

Step 1
Find a video file with a movie that you would like to watch on your mobile phone. The most common format supported by most mobile phones is 3gp. You can download films in this format on the Internet. Finding them is quite easy - there are many sites that offer videos for mobile phones.
Step 2
Convert your movie from avi or mpg4 format to 3gp format if you couldn't find it on the net. To do this, you need to use a special video converter program, which can also be downloaded on the Internet. Modern converters of video files contain a base with settings for various phone models. Just find your model in the list and start the transcoding process. In smartphones based on Windows Mobile, Android, iOS or Symbian, players can be installed that allow you to view videos of almost any format. Player programs can also be downloaded from the Internet or purchased from the developers' website.
Step 3
Copy the finished movie file to your mobile phone. The best way to do this is to use a USB cable. In the menu that appears on the phone screen, select "Storage" or "Data storage". Next, go to the phone's memory card using the "My Computer" icon on the PC desktop. Send the movie file to a folder on your phone, usually called Video. If there is no such folder on your cell phone, create it from your computer. Right-click on the open window with the phone's memory card. In the menu that appears, select New and then Folder. Name the created folder Video.
Step 4
Disconnect your mobile phone from your computer. Open the "Gallery" section in your mobile phone and select the "Videos" or "Video" folder. Select the video file downloaded from your PC and select the "Play" line from the menu. If you have a smartphone based on Windows Mobile, Android, iOS or Symbian and have a video player installed, then launch this program and open a movie in it.
