Satellite television is a set of equipment used to receive television programs that are transmitted via communication satellites. They are located above the equator in geostationary orbits. The simplest system is a satellite dish ("dish"), a converter and a satellite receiver. Also, satellite equipment allows you to establish telephone or Internet communication in places where conventional communication systems are not available. At the moment, satellite systems are widespread, focused on tuning to three satellites: Amos, Sirius and Hot Bird.
Necessary
satellite dish, receiver, TV set, compass program Satellite Antenna Alignmen
Instructions
Step 1
Install a central satellite (in this case it is Sirius), for this, connect the cable from the converter to input 1 of the DiSEqC switch, and then from the “Receiver” output connect the cable to the tuner input. To continue the setup, you need to connect the satellite receiver to the TV and, according to the instructions, make the required settings. Select in the main menu of the tuner select the “Antenna installation” mode, in the “Manual search” set the frequency to 11766 MHz, polarization “H” (horizontal), stream rate 27500 SR. It is the most powerful transponder of the Sirius satellite.
Step 2
Identify South by compass. According to the latitude and longitude of the installation point of the satellite dish (city), use the Satellite Antenna Alignmen program to determine the angle of inclination of the antenna relative to the horizon. Turn the antenna up and down (left and right) until the signal appears. It consists of two indicators "quality" and "strength" (focus on "quality"). If no signal is found, tilt the satellite dish slightly and search again. This should be done smoothly and slowly. After fixing the signal, achieve its maximum value. Then turn on the "Scan" mode. The list of channels of this satellite appears on the TV screen.
Step 3
Secure all fasteners for the satellite dish. Tighten them crosswise, while watching the signal so that it does not lose its meaning. After correctly tuning to the Sirius satellite, do not turn the satellite dish any more.
Step 4
Tune the transponder on the Hot Bird satellite. To do this, first connect the Hot Bird converter to input 1 of the DiSEqC switch (temporarily disconnect the central converter). Move the converter holder along the multifeed mounting bar back and forth, left and right, looking for a satellite signal. After a stable signal appears, scan it and secure it. Set up the Amos satellite in the same way as for Hot Bird. Frequency - 10723 MHz, polarization "H", flow rate 27500.
Step 5
Connect the DiSEqC switch after setting up all three satellites "Input A" - Amos, "Input B" - Sirius, "Input C" - Hot Bird. Select the converter installation mode in the satellite tuner menu in the "Antenna Installation" mode and set DiSEqC on each satellite according to the connections.
Step 6
Select the "Automatic tuning" mode from the main menu and scan the satellites.
