Many modern computer displays support high definition video. Despite this feature, some users prefer to display the image on the TV display.

Instructions
Step 1
Begin choosing the connectors available on your TV. Practice shows that it is much more reasonable to use digital data transmission channels, such as DVI-D and HDMI. Find the matching courts on the TV cabinet.
Step 2
Examine the video outputs located on the computer's video card. Modern adapters usually have DVI and HDMI ports. Comparatively old models of video cards lack HDMI outputs. In such cases, it is customary to use special adapters.
Step 3
Connect the video adapter of your computer or laptop to the corresponding connector on the TV. Use the recommended adapters if necessary. Please be aware that not all DVI-HDMI connectors are suitable for audio signal transmission.
Step 4
Adjust the settings for your TV. To do this, follow these procedures: find the "Signal Source" item and select the currently used connector.
Step 5
Turn on your computer and wait for the operating system to load. After that, the image transmitted from the video card will appear on the TV display. If you see a desktop picture without additional elements, configure the synchronous operation of devices.
Step 6
Right click on the desktop. In the window that opens, select the item "Screen resolution". After opening a new menu, select the icon of the standard monitor and select the "Duplicate screen" item. After activating the described function, you will see an identical image on both displays.
Step 7
To use the TV and monitor independently, activate the Expand Display function. In this case, it is very important to pre-select the appropriate resolution of the main screen. This will save you from image distortion.
