It is better to switch the wires using a P2K switch, which is usually used to transfer the heating itself to the desired voltage. Remember that the restored picture tube will work no more than a year, and its performance depends both on the type of the picture tube itself and on the resource remaining in it. If the kinescope has almost completely sat down, increase the heating to the maximum, but the unit itself may burn out.
