Checking your phone allows you to determine what kind of mobile you purchased: original or fake. The market is full of "gray" phones, they are sold mainly by hand, and sometimes even at official points of sale.

Step 1
Pay attention to the packaging of your phone when buying. The box with the certified phone must have an inscription in Russian, it will be printed on the box, and not on stickers or stamps.
Step 2
Open the box and check that it contains the Russian-language instructions. This is important in combination with the previous feature to distinguish an uncertified phone: even a package with a “gray” phone may contain instructions from the Russian-language page. Official manufacturers usually make separate instructions for the country in which the device will be sold.
Step 3
Turn on the phone, its menu must be Russified. If it is not there, then the device is not intended for sale in the Russian Federation, and, accordingly, the phone has not passed certification.
Step 4
Verify the authenticity of your phone using its unique serial number. To do this, dial * # 06 #, a number will appear on the screen, follow the link https://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr and enter the received numbers in the field to find out the authenticity of the phone. You can also contact the manufacturer via the hotline and find out if the device has been certified for Russia. For example, the Nokia hotline is 8 800 700 2222.
Step 5
Open the phone cover and remove the battery, take a look at the sticker, on it, in addition to the serial number, there should be PCT and SSE signs, not on a separate stamp, but next to the number. The same PCT markings should be on the packaging of the phone, which means that the phone is certified by the PCT.
Step 6
Examine the keyboard: the rudeness of the Russian engraving and the discrepancy between the Russian letters and the Latin ones speaks of a fake. Finally, ask the seller about the terms of the warranty repair. Often sellers do not hide the fact that the product they sell is "gray".
