Corel Draw is a graphics editor that is a powerful vector graphics application. If you skillfully use the capabilities of the program, you can do work of any complexity in it.
Instructions
Step 1
Corel Draw has a toolbar that has a number of functions for drawing geometric shapes. To cut the desired shape along a certain contour, you need to create another shape next to it, along the contour of which the cut will be made. For example, you need to carve a five-pointed star in a pentagon. To do this, you need to build, respectively, two shapes - a pentagon and a pentagram, using the "Polygon" tab.
Step 2
Place the shape to be cut on the shape from which you will cut: a pentagram on a pentagon. Select both shapes using the Pick tool. If you select multiple elements, the top bar will display the shaping element buttons: Simplify, Intersect, Eliminate, Union. These elements can be called from the "Arrange" menu, then select the "Formation" item from the list.
Step 3
Cut out the pentagram shape along its outline by clicking the Delete button. As a result, you will get the clipped area on the pentagon in the form of a pentagram.
Step 4
If you want to get a shape formed by the intersection of objects, select the necessary objects, click the "Intersection" button on the property bar.
Step 5
It turns out a new shape, which is the result of the intersection of two superimposed objects. In this case, the old objects remain unchanged.
