After starting the program, plug the cable from the iPhone into the USB port, then plug the other end of the cable into the smartphone, while the smartphone should be in standby mode - all applications should be disabled on it.

A few seconds after connecting your phone to your computer, iTunes will start syncing your iPhone. This will be indicated on the iPhone screen as “Syncing in progress”. Do not disconnect the USB cable from your computer or phone while it is running.
