Instructions
Step 1
All players must download the same version of the hamachi program and install them. There is a free basic version of the program, so this step is straightforward.
Step 2
By running the program, you can connect to the existing networks of players, learn about the connection settings on the sites dedicated to your favorite game. If users have already created a network for the game, then they write about this on the game and clan sites.
Step 3
You can create a local virtual network yourself for your friends. In hamachi, the creation of a network is done almost in one click, set the name of the network and tell it to your friends by mail, ICQ or by phone. Now, by launching hamachi and searching by network name, your friends will be able to connect to you.
Step 4
All connected users appear in the local chat, each of them is assigned an ip-address, which is indicated directly in the hamachi window next to the username.
Step 5
Agree in the chat which game you will play, agree on the version of the game and who will be the server. A server is a computer from which other players will take general data about the game. The server carries a higher load than the computers of other users, so it makes sense to choose a person with a more powerful computer to play the role of launching the game.
Step 6
Then the person who provides the computer for the server launches the game and starts the multiplayer game, choosing the server role for himself. In the hamachi chat, he notifies the players about the start of the server, the rest start the same game and join the local game. In some games, the server ip is used for this (take it from the hamachi program, not the real ip of the server computer), in others the name of the server.
