Driver is an application that decodes algorithms for working with equipment. For devices to work stably, you need to download and install drivers for all components of your PC. For example, for network and sound cards or a printer. But there is equipment that is installed using additional applications. To do this, discs with sets of the necessary programs are added to the equipment.
Instructions
Step 1
Identify the device. If the computer system could not automatically detect the video camera, go to the "Start" menu, then right-click on the "My Computer" icon, select "Control" there, then click "Device Manager". An update option button appears at the top right of the Device Manager window.
Step 2
If the device appears as unknown in Device Manager (question mark), right-click on it and select Refresh. If the device is still not found after the update, check that the camcorder is properly connected to the computer. The plug may not fully enter the jack, or you mistakenly plugged the camcorder into the wrong jack.
Step 3
Install the camcorder driver. If the computer system found the driver automatically, then follow the commands in the dialog box and install it using the assistant. If the system could not find the driver, load the installation disc supplied with the camcorder, select “Install” from the menu and simply follow the commands of the dialog box. The system may swear that the driver does not have a digital signature, and you decide to install at your own peril and risk.
Step 4
If there is no disk, start the automatic installation, the computer system should itself find the driver on the Internet. If the automatic search did not help either, then find the model name and serial number on the camcorder and, using these data, look for the drivers yourself on the Internet on the manufacturer's website or on other resources. Download the installation file or just the driver files, then install manually with the path to the driver files.

Get started with the device. However, if none of the above methods worked, you should contact a specialist.
