Installation of USB drivers for mobile phones is performed to enable the device to work correctly with a desktop computer in data transfer or modem mode. There are several possible ways to solve this problem. In this case, Sony Ericsson mobile phones are considered.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have a dedicated CD-ROM, install the USB drivers in automatic mode. To do this, insert the disc into the CD-ROM and install the PC Suite program on your computer. After that, connect your phone to your computer and follow the wizard's recommendations.
Step 2
In order to install USB drivers in manual mode, download the archive of the necessary drivers from the official website of the manufacturer in accordance with the phone model. Unpack the archive to any convenient directory and connect your mobile device to your computer using a special USB cable included in the package.
Step 3
Wait for the Found New Hardware Wizard to detect a new device and apply the check box in the Install from a list or specific location line in the Select the action to be performed section. Confirm your choice by clicking the "Next" button, and mark the checkbox of the line "Include this location in the search" in the dialog box that opens.
Step 4
Click the "Browse" button and specify the full path to the folder where the downloaded drivers are saved. Confirm the selected action by clicking the "Next" button and wait for the installation to complete. Save your changes by clicking the Finish button in the final window of the wizard and wait until the Found New Hardware Wizard is launched again.
Step 5
Repeat all the above steps for all the required drivers and wait for the message that the new hardware installation has been successfully completed appears. Disconnect your mobile device from your computer and reconnect it. Wait until the possible phone modes are displayed: - transfer of media files - to display the phone memory and memory card as different removable drives; - phone - to work with applications; - transfer files to reboot into transfer mode; - print - to start the PictBridge function.
