Installation of USB drivers is required to enable the computer to communicate with a mobile device in data or modem mode. Many manufacturers include special connection cables for connecting your computer to your phone. Some of them involve installing drivers.
Instructions
Step 1
Insert the supplied CD into your computer and follow the instructions of the installation wizard (if available), or manually install the required USB drivers.
Step 2
Download the archive with the necessary drivers from the mobile device manufacturer's website and unzip the downloaded files to a folder on your computer desktop.
Step 3
Connect the mobile device and computer using a USB connecting cable and wait for the new device to be detected on the computer screen in the Found New Hardware Wizard.
Step 4
Apply the checkbox to the "Install from a list or specific location" field and click the "Next" button to confirm the command execution.
Step 5
Apply the check box next to Include this location in the search and click the Browse button to open the path to the folder with the driver files that you created on your desktop.
Step 6
Click Next to confirm your choice and wait for a new dialog box to appear informing you that the installation was successful.
Step 7
Click the "Finish" button to confirm the application of the selected changes and repeat the above procedure in the "Found New Hardware Wizard" tool.
Step 8
Wait until the wizard appears on the successful installation of new hardware and disconnect the mobile device.
Step 9
Reconnect the phone to the computer to check the operating modes and go to the main menu of the Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button to check and update the USB 2.0 host controller driver.
Step 10
Call the context menu of the "Computer" object by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Control" item.
Step 11
Expand the Utilities link and select the Device Manager group.
Step 12
Go to the "Devices by type" item in the "View" menu and open the context menu of the "USB 2.0 EHCI host controller" item by right-clicking.
Step 13
Use the "Update Driver" command and select "Install Automatically (Recommended)".
Step 14
Click the Next button to execute the command and confirm the application of the selected changes by clicking the Finish button.
